Frequently asked

How do I log a meal?

Open the app, tap the green + button on the home screen, and choose how you want to log: search by name, scan a barcode, take a photo, or describe it in plain English. You can also tap an item from Favorites or Recents to log it instantly.

How do I scan a barcode?

Tap +Scan barcode. Hold your camera over the barcode on a packaged food. The first time, you’ll be asked to allow camera access. If your camera doesn’t open, check that Omnutrient has camera permission in iOS Settings.

A food shows the wrong calories or macros. How do I fix it?

Two options. Quick fix: on the food row, tap the pencil icon to edit calories, macros, and serving size for that entry. Your correction is remembered for future scans of the same barcode.

Report it to us: in the Add Meal or Edit Food screen, tap Report wrong data (flag icon). We review reports and update the underlying source.

How do I connect to Apple Health (HealthKit)?

In the app, go to Settings Apple Health and turn on the data types you want to sync. If you denied permissions during onboarding, you may need to enable them in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Omnutrient.

Does Omnutrient use AI?

Yes — AI features (the chat coach, “Describe to AI” meal logging, photo analysis, and AI insights) send your input to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not share your input with OpenAI for model training. The first time you use an AI feature, the app asks for your consent and explains what is sent.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed through the Omnutrient website, manage your plan from the same account dashboard you used to subscribe, or email us at nutrimind.ai.support@gmail.com and we’ll cancel it for you.

How do I delete my account?

Email nutrimind.ai.support@gmail.com from your account’s email address and we’ll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. Include the phrase “delete my account” in the subject line so we don’t miss it.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we’ll email you a reset link. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder. If it still doesn’t arrive, email nutrimind.ai.support@gmail.com.

The app is crashing or behaving oddly.

Try force-quitting Omnutrient (swipe up from the bottom and swipe the app card up). If the issue persists, restart your phone. If it still happens, email us with: your iOS version, your phone model, and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots help.

Is my health and food data private?

Yes. Your nutrition and HealthKit data are stored encrypted and are never sold or shared with advertisers. AI features only transmit the specific input you provide (a message, photo, or food description) to OpenAI to generate a response. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
